Helping Guardians Help Others Scholarship

You must live in, or adjacent to, Orange, Osceola or Seminole County, Florida.

The Scholarship Process

Our registration process is exactly the same as what you will find on the Office of Public and Professional Guardian's (OPPG) website. That is the Professional Guardian governing body, under the Department of Elder Affairs. We do not add any additional steps.

Our Reimbursement Model

Once you have completed all of the steps to become fully registered and have been appointed to your first case, we will reimburse you for 100% of the out-of-pocket costs. It varies slightly, but the total cost is about $1,000.00.

Once you are fully registered and ready to take cases, we ask that you take *4 cases in Orange, Osceola and/or Seminole County over the course of your first year. If the cases are indigent, you will be compensated by the FLGSN model. The pace at which you take the cases is entirely up to you.

*If you reside in Lake, Volusia, Brevard or Polk county, we ask you to take 2 cases in your home county and 2 cases in our area. If the cases are indigent, you will be compensated by the FLGSN model.
